During winters in the month of December, Candolim Beach celebrates the Sunburn Festival for three days. Candolim Beach has several tourist attractions located nearby. The Chapel of St. Lawrence is a beautiful Chapel that lies on the shore of Aguada Bay. It is a fabulous scenic spot and very suitable for photography. Aguada Fort is itself is a very popular tourist attraction. It is a beautiful fort constructed by the Portuguese in 1912. One can see the fort surrounded by Aguada Jail, Church and a lighthouse. Apart from its historical significance, it also commands a picturesque view from the top of the wild sea and the waves crashing and forming spray of white surf. The famous Calangute and Candolim beaches lie to its northern side.
